Permaculture ethics of Earth Care , People Care ad Fare Share, as well as many strategies for living in harmony with ecosystems and co-generating abundance go beyond growing food for humans.

  1. We can plant more native species to increase local carrying capacity of our backyard, neighborhood, and urban ecosystems.  This would lead to a greater diversity of insects that feed local birds. Exotic plants often cant do this so collapse the web. (Nature's Best Hope, Douglas Tallamy)
  2. We can extend nature's laws to our own cultural practices as diagrammed in the permaculture flower above.
  3. We can shift our economic systems out of infinite growth and profit models to nature positive economies.

Which of these are most important for you and for local bioregion resilience?
