NO, muffins don’t heal broken bones or fix sea walls. Yet it turns out that the simple practice of taking the time to introduce yourself to your neighbors, and yes, maybe offering some muffins, is a huge first step in weaving a strong latticework of neighborhood emergency preparedness.
Like wounded birds returning to the sky, many of us are taking wing with a new sense of agency and urgency. About our home towns. About our home planet.
