Giving Back Going Forward
CamdenCAN is an all-volunteer, grassroots climate action group that begin around a kitchen table in Spring 2023. Our first priority was, and continues to be, fostering climate conversations.
We do this through climate circles, reading groups, and our Camden Talks Climate events held at the Camden Public Library.
From this humble desire we’ve branched out to several other projects and endeavors, from our annual Food Garden Tour, to community potlucks, our biweekly newsletter, and our recent Energy Coaching and Emergency Preparedness two-town grant between Camden and Rockport.
Our work is based on the needs of the community—human and non-human—at this time. We’d love you to donate your time if that is of interest. We have working groups, a steering committee, and various other ways you can join us in the work of creating a sustainable community.
We give our time and efforts so that those who follow us can live in a more habitable world. We thank you for your help in that regard.

During 2025 we were able to get fiscal sponsorship for CamdenCAN through the good graces of A Climate to Thrive, in Mt. Desert. It’s a way for us to focus on climate work while they take care of administrative needs.
