Thursday March 12 Plug-in Solar May Be Coming To Maine Hosted by the Camden Public Library and CamdenCAN via Zoom 6:30 PM A new kind of solar system could be coming to town – in villages and cities around Maine. Small systems with built-in inverters now allow nearly everyone to have several panels (up to 1,200 KW) mounted by or on their residence and plugging into a regular outlet. Many US States are moving to adopt regulations to allow these small, affordable systems, already popular in Europe. Learn about how plug-in solar works, why it can make solar more accessible, and what’s happening in Maine with legislation ( LD 1730) to permit it. Wesley Schrock, of the nonprofit Bright Saver in San Francisco, will present on plug-in solar as part of CamdenCAN’s “Camden Talks Climate” presentations with the Camden Public Library.
